Leon Haslam falls and BSB goes to Shane Byrne

Not all victories are the same, as well as not all second places are equal. This also applies to racing world: it may happen to turn out to be very far from the way it looks from the outside, and hardly ever do we know how what it feels like for the riders to live it by the inside.

Despite Leon’s fall due to a technical problem caused him several fractures, still he managed to go onto the track to congratulate the new champion Shane Byrne. Such a beautiful page in the story of this sport really needs no explanations.

Thank you Leon for everything you tought us and all the emotions we have been experienced.

No doubt that you will be coming back next year!

Leon extends lead at top of the table

Leon Haslam and the JG Speedfit Kawasaki team edged one step closer to the 2017 MCE British Superbike Championship at TT Circuit Assen on Sunday. The Derbyshire rider claimed first and third-place finishes to extend his lead in the title race from 22 to 32 points with just one round remaining.

The 34-year-old was consistently in the top three in both the dry and wet during practice and qualifying at the Dutch venue. And while all his rivals struggled in the wet qualifying session on Saturday, Leon excelled on the Kawasaki ZX-10R and lined up in second place on the grid for Sunday’s first race.

Never outside the top three, the race saw no fewer than six riders dispute the win but with the SC1 harder tyre again working well as the race wore on, Leon grabbed the lead on lap 14 and immediately opened up a small gap. It meant he went into the final lap with a nice cushion and he duly took the victory, his 31st BSB career win, by two seconds to extend his title lead to 28 points..

A weekend of stardom for Accossato in all contests

That’s a lot of satisfaction for all the teams sponsored by Accossato, engaged in sport competitions.

In the Supersport 600 Championship, Kenan Sofuoglu took the lead during the eighth round, imposing his pace at the race and gradually losing ground to all trackers. Suddenly, only three rounds from the end of the race, Mahias started to bang away at Sofuoglu by reducing the distance between the two. Still, the Turkish rider resisted the attacks and managed to pull out the win, as absolute ruler of the race.

Great satisfaction also in the Superstock 1000 Championship, where Turkish Toprak Razgatlioglu took the lead of the race in the second lap over Mike Jones. Round by round, not only did he manage to outrun his challenger, but he even outdistanced him more than two seconds. The Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Team’s driver thus leads to 114 points, reducing his distance from Michael Rinaldi to just 8 points.

In the British Superbike, big race by Leon Haslam winning at Outlon Park: he took back the lead, 22 points away from Brookes.
